Next Steps” meetings are held regularly and will be announced in the worship services.

Children and Students

If you love to teach and show kids and teens what living the Christian life is all about, this ministry is for you.  We are always happy to have folks “invest for the long term” by helping out with our young people.

Sharing Hope

This is an outreach ministry to folks who are in need.  Every Friday we have a group of people who come together to prepare meals to be delivered to various parts of Ocala where people are struggling.  Volunteers to cook, deliver the food, and pray with and encourage the needy are always needed and appreciated.  This ministry is funded by Christ’s Church as well as outside contributors.

Women’s Pregnancy Center

This ministry is a local citywide ministry to women who are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy.   Christ’s Church financially supports this ministry, and a number of our women serve there in various capacities.  The Center provides ultrasounds and counseling focused on saving the preborn.  It also offers assistance to those who are in need.

Missions Team

Christ’s Church is a mission-minded congregation!  We support numerous local, state, national, and international missions.  Our team meets monthly to receive reports from the various missions and to pray for all mission endeavors.  If you’re interested in domestic or international missions, we invite you to be involved in this important ministry.

Worship Ministry

We at Christ’s Church are blessed with talented people, but we can always use more!  If you are musically inclined, (vocally or instrumentally), or if you are capable in areas like sound and PowerPoint, you may be interested in our worship ministry teams.

Building and Grounds

Christ’s Church always appreciates the involvement of folks who can help us keep our facility in good order.  We are happy to have volunteers who can help with maintenance, repairs, projects, and cleaning.  We are also happy to have folks who can help with maintaining the grounds – mowing, weeding, landscaping, and helping us make a good impression on folks who just drive by and notice that this is where a group of Christians meet.

Pantry Ministry

Christ Church realizes that there are people in our congregation and in the surrounding neighborhoods who could use a little help with food.  Thus, we try to keep a well-stocked pantry.  We encourage our members to take what they need or take some food to a neighbor who might be in need.  We also have people who drop by and ask for help.  If you would be interested in helping those folks, we can always use volunteers to help organize stock and prepare boxes and bags of food for distribution.

Greeting and Ushering

Christ’s Church is known for our friendliness.  This begins with a first impression when one comes to worship with us for the first time.  People who are naturally outgoing and comfortable with people they do not know will enjoy participating in this ministry.  Consider becoming one of our greeters.  We are also happy to have people who can help newcomers find a Sunday School class or the children’s area or restrooms.  We also appreciate folks who can help with ushering – finding seats in the auditorium and helping serve communion and receive the offering.

Welcome Center

At Christ’s Church we have first-time visitors every Sunday.  A vital ministry is helping at our Welcome Center.  We encourage first-time visitors to stop at the Center before exiting the building.  There they will be welcomed, and we have small gift bags for them.  This ministry needs people who smile big, shake hands with folks, make sure they know how happy we are that they have visited, and invite them to return and worship with us again soon.
